My Art Through the YearsThis was a piece I did in marker in order to show pop art. First, I took a photo shoot and manipulated the light and color on Photoshop to create a vintage tone for the piece. Next, I took art markers and experimented on the original image to find the right colors to make the piece more realistic. Finally, I proceeded to my final.

This was the first ever acrylic painting that I completed. It is based off of a photo I took that was meant to display a unique composition of subjects. The background is a vinyl album cover and its sitting upon a record player. The yellow spots are fairy lights which I hung up around the piece. Lastly, on the left is a Rubik's cube and a world globe. I wanted to create a calming piece through the lights and the musical influence of the record player.
Objective: Show reflection. experiment with marker.
Media: Marker Description: Shoes and a colorful Halloween bag reflected in a mirror that is hung up on a door. The objects on the bag are pieces of Halloween candy. |
On the right of the page are a few snippets from my sketchbook besides the final work on the bottom right. The one on the left hand side was the planning before the final in order to explore mark making. The final on the bottom was a re-creation of a photo I took while on vacation in Wisconsin. Media: water color with a fine line marker. The one on the far right was my first time working with Conte pencils. |
